The Dallas County Department of Health and Human Services has provided me with the notification letter below that is to be sent to parents of children and staff who are close contacts (someone who has been within six feet of a person diagnosed with COVID-19 for 15 minutes or more).
I am sharing this as a resource with all Day School parents and staff for your information and as a follow-up to the email newsletter notification on 11/9/20 of a recent diagnosis in the Day School. As a reminder, all close contacts will be notified immediately when there is a COVID-19 diagnosis. This will be communicated in Brightwheel and/or phone call. A follow-up email notification will be sent to all parents and staff within 48 hours following a report of a COVID-19 diagnosed in the Day School. Additionally, each case of a child or staff member who is diagnosed with COVID-19 is reported to the health department and to child care licensing. Contact Amy Lawson, Day School Director, with any questions.
Traditional Thanksgiving gatherings with family and friends are fun but can increase the chances of getting or spreading COVID-19 or the flu. Follow these tips to make your Thanksgiving holiday safer.
The safest way to celebrate Thanksgiving this year is to celebrate with people in your household. If you do plan to spend Thanksgiving with people outside your household, take steps to make your celebration safer. Bring your own food, drinks, plates, cups, and utensils; wear a mask, and safely store your mask while eating and drinking; avoid going in and out of the areas where food is being prepared or handled, such as in the kitchen; and use single-use options, like salad dressing and condiment packets.
