What a whirlwind this year has been! When we closed the school March 16th due to COVID-19 and stay-at-home orders, we had no idea the journey this would become! We have learned so much along the way, and one of the most important lessons is that we are resilient and strong! I am so proud of the Day School Team and the creative ways that they have continued to engage with our children and families.
On June 15th, we reopened for Phase 1 with a limited number of children. The health and safety protocols that we carefully (and prayerfully!) planned with guidance from our COVID Task Force Parents and Church Leadership have worked exceptionally well. It has been amazing to see it all come together! Phase 2 began on July 20th, with a few more children in attendance and even more returning in early August.
For those of us who have returned, it has provided us with a sense of returning to normal... well, our new normal! For the children, their classroom experience has not changed. It may look different, but the friendship, love, and learning continue!

We are working hard to prepare for Fall and the first day of school. We plan to begin on August 24th as scheduled, with a possible 1-2 week delay for the start of the Half Day program. We will make a determination by July 31st.
Due to the health and safety restrictions that we have been required to implement based on the Texas Minimum Standard Health Protocols and the CDC Guidelines for Schools and Child Care, we anticipate that we will need to continue with these new protocols for the foreseeable future.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
Due to the health and safety restrictions that we have been required to implement based on the Texas Minimum Standard Health Protocols and the CDC Guidelines for Schools and Child Care, we anticipate that we will need to continue with these new protocols for the foreseeable future.
Key points:
- Day School hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, due to the staffing structure required to meet the health and safety requirements.
- Staggered drop-off with temperature checks and health screening will take place between 8:00-9:00am. The Half Day program drop-off times will be structured by classrooms (and siblings). All Day families will register for a time slot, beginning at 8:00am.
- Drop-off will take place outdoors with Day School Administration performing the temperature checks and screenings while the child remains in the vehicle.
- The Day School is on lockdown with restricted access to staff only and essential support services. Parents may only enter in the event of an emergency.
- Half Day Stay and Play will not be offered during the fall semester. We will reassess for spring later in the year.
- Children do not combine with other classrooms and all activities will take place in their own room. Playground time is scheduled in the morning and afternoon as the weather permits. Special activities will be incorporated into the classroom schedule; however, special instructors are not allowed at this time.
- Day School staff wear face masks at all times throughout the school day. Children are not required to wear masks.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
