Welcome to Ms. Ana's Half Day Fours!
Fours
At this age, children are able to expand learning and take on more challenges while still engaging in building friendships and developing a stong sense of self. Teachers plan and facilitate opportunities to advance skills in academic areas such as literacy, math, technology, engineering and science; as well as creative art, social and emotional well-being and health and safety.
As children grow and develop, their ability to engage in complex projects increases. Pre-kindergarten is an ideal time to introduce children to reading readiness, mathematical thinking, scientific reasoning, intricate artistic experiences and enriched learning opportunities. These activities build upon what children have already learned.
Children are becoming more independent, increasingly responsible for their own choices and decisions. They are ready to start tending to their own personal care and safety, as well as caring for others and the environment. Healthy eating, exercise and safety habits are essential skills that will ensure good choices, develop positive self-esteem and serve childreen throughout their lives.

Meet Ms. Ana
About Ms. Ana Ms. Ana has been at the Day School since 2003, teaching various ages as a float and a full-time teacher. We are excited to have her join the Half Day 4's teaching team in 2023. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Family Studies from Marymount California University. Her favorite aspect of teaching is being able to cherish memories of knowing she's helped so many children develop new skills and learn new concepts. Ms. Ana enjoys organizing, cooking and spending time with her two amazing daughters. Ms. Ana's Favorites |
